As of last night, there were nine at the adoption center. Daisy and her kittens, Ruby and Redmond, just came in.

I wish! Michael and I were just talking about how we both wish we had a gigantic home with a lot of land so we could take them all home with us. For the moment, though, I only have room for Missy and Sugarfoot in the house.

Sometimes I feel the same way about the dogs. How great it would be to have ten or twelve.

But then, you remember how hard it is to give three the attention they deserve. And how jealous they get of each other when you're loving on one of them. Oh, and there's the thought of walking ten of them in Manhattan (someday) with ten separate poop bags.

Okay, I lied. Three is enough.

But then, wrestling with them all, making piles....
